Audience success on SBTo Million Show returned under the command of Patricia Abravanelbut with a tribute to Silvio Santos (1930-2024), presenter of the format in its original version. The daughter said that she made a point of “copying” one of her father’s catchphrases whenever she starts the game show. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys, girls and boys. Good evening, audience,” she says, repeating what the communicator did in the past.

“I did it on purpose to be the same! I said: ‘Ah, no, I want the same. I want to do the same!'”, said Patricia in an interview with journalist Roger Turchetti on the Intervenção do channel YouTube. “The Show do Milhão is being very good, a very special experience.”

The YouTuber also questioned the presenter about the memes generated by university students in the format — they should help the participants, but they rarely contribute the right option. “Not wanting to justify it, but already justifying it, relieving them, it’s a lot of pressure at the time”, minimized Patricia.

“Can I say it’s difficult? Once there, they have to give a clear answer. So, that’s what I say: the student is the one who goes to university. I tell them: ‘Show what you came for’. But they are very nervous, they’re not used to the camera, the pressure…”, defended the presenter.

She also admitted that she is anxious for the participants, because she hopes they do well and get the biggest prize possible. “I feel nervous for them. Because we see them nervous, sometimes the answer is there, you realize that the person knows, but that insecurity of ‘can you imagine me making a mistake?’.”

Patricia admits she misses Silvio Santos

In the conversation with Turchetti, Patricia also spoke openly about how much she misses her father, died on August 17 at age 93. “Of course we miss it, but we have to be strong and one day at a time. We are there, learning to live in a different way”, said the daughter.

“It’s a lot of gratitude for the incredible life he lived. When I start to get sad, I think: ‘Thank you for having my father for 93 years, with a lot of healthalways giving joy’. It was a beautiful life and, thank God, I had the opportunity to live close to a person as special as Silvio Santos”, valued the presenter of the Silvio Santos Program.

She also highlighted that she has felt the public’s affection in the difficult mission of continuing her father’s legacy. “It’s surreal, I admire it more and more. I’ve received a lot of affection, but it’s not something that I planted, it’s not my harvest that I receive, it’s something that my father planted and I’m receiving in installments”, said Patricia.

“I see the affection, the care, people hugging me in a way, wanting it to work. And I know that I wasn’t the one who planted this. He has a very special sowing, what he did is surreal, a chosen person , blessed, separated by God to bring joy, to be an example, such a wonderful reference”, he concluded.
