The former model and influencer Vera Viel says in an interview with Spectacular Sunday that the husband, the presenterRodrigo Farowas used by God to save her from a rare and serious cancer. He insisted that his partner undergo an MRI which ended up discovering the tumor on his left thigh.
The blogger also describes an encounter with God during the surgery carried out on the 13th, in which she spent eight hours in the hands of doctors. “Why did this all happen on the eve of my birthday? God chose that day because I would be reborn”, he recalls.
In conversation with Roberto CabriniVera reveals that the discovery of synovial sarcoma was a hardship for the whole family. She and Faro are parents to Clara, 19 years old; Maria, 16 years old; and Helena, 11 years old.
“The feeling [de ver o exame] it was a rapid heartbeat. The first person I turned to was Rodrigo. I said: ‘Are you ready? It’s out and we’re going to have to be strong’. It was not a benign nodule, but a malignant one. And we would have to go through this battle”, he describes.
Helena even went to social media to ask for prayers for her mother, receiving support from friends and teachers. They wrote several messages to support the former model before the surgery.
“I wasn’t prepared, because I thought that tumor would be benign. I was sad, but God touched my heart and asked me to speak [nas redes]. My friends gave us a giant box with lots of letters. I didn’t want her to feel bad because we were sad”, says the young woman.
Faro was used by God
According to Vera, the tumor started to grow in her thigh at the beginning of the year, but was only detected after Muay Thai classes. “God was using the right person, because Faro insisted that I do the MRI”, she explains, who went through difficult times
I cried several times when I was taking a shower. I didn’t know what would happen, because it’s a very serious illness that many people are suffering from. I even lost my father to her.
The former model also reports an encounter with God during the surgery. “He asked: ‘Rest here in my arms for as long as it lasts. [o procedimento]. And I replied: ‘I can’t, I have to go back’. But God said I would come back, he never thought I would stay there”, she recalls, quite emotional.
He told me that I would be healed, that there were many people praying for me, many requests in my name. I would go back because I had a lot to live with with my daughters.
Vera’s surgery was a success, and she will undergo radiotherapy sessions as a precaution. She believes she will not need more aggressive treatment, with chemotherapy.
