Actor Felippe Souza, who is behind the drag queen Bianca DellaFancy, experienced a moment of terror this Thursday morning (24). Interpreter of Janaína in the remake of Reborn (2024), and Globothe artist witnessed a shooting on Avenida Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro. “It was a horrible scare,” he commented.
Through Instagram Stories, Souza shared a video showing people kneeling amid chaos in the middle of the street. Some time later, he appeared to reassure followers about his condition.
“Everything is fine with me! Thank you for the messages, you are everything to me. I didn’t have a cell phone, my cell phone died, that’s why it took me a while to get here. Everything is fine”, she stated.
It was a scare, a horrible scare. It is revolting to think about how people are exposed daily to a lack of security and violence. I came to Rio to participate in an incredible event.
“Keep an eye on who you are voting for. This violence, feeling of impunity and lack of security is not just here,” warned the actor.
Success in Reborn
With more than 500 thousand followers on social media, drag queen Bianca DellaFancy debuted on television playing Janaína, Jorge’s drag queen, in Renascer. She worked alongside actresses Gabriela Loran and Galba Gogoia, and was friends with Buba (Gabriela Medeiros).
“We had, in many productions, cis people playing trans people. This in cinema, in series… We also had straight people playing LGBTQIA+ people. So, what is happening is a beginning, we are seeing a beginning. But I think it is a beginning of a very promising future”, he commented in an interview with UOL’s Giz portal.
