Veteran Ivone Hoffmann, who collects characters and special appearances in soap operas and Globo since Free to Fly (1984), it will resurface in You Mania. Away from TV since Cara e Coragem (2022), the actress will play the nun who heads a very important woman for Mércia (Adriana Esteves) in the current nine o’clock soap opera from Globo.

Another nun will be played by Jussara Freirealso a veteran, who could be seen in Piece of Me (2033), from Netflix. She will have a direct connection with Mavi’s mother’s past (Chay Suede), guarding the villain’s macabre secrets. The role was originally offered to Ana Lucia Torrebut she declined the invitation.

The information is from the Play column, from the newspaper O Globo. Ivone will play the mother superior of the convent. She may help or hinder Mércia’s access to the location and, consequently, to sister Sônia.

Jussara Freire’s character, in fact, may have her murder revoked in the story. She would die brutally, but the desire of Globo’s top management to soften the soap opera can change the character’s direction.

Ivone Hoffmann had already worked with João Emanuel Carneiro em The Color of Sin (2004), in which she made a cameo appearance as Marina.

The actress also appeared in soap operas such as Of Body and Soul (1992), Walking on Clouds (1999) and Faces & Mouths (2009), as well as being part of the fixed cast of Vira Lata (1996), Bad Angel (1997) e Beautiful (2005) –she was Matilde, a housekeeper who listened to Bia Falcão’s (Fernanda Montenegro) insults.
