Eternal Emília do Yellow Picapau Site (2001-2007), Isabelle Drummond revealed that she was bullied at school because of her fame as a child actress. The 30-year-old artist touches on delicate topics such as harassment in the play Tina – Respect, in which she revives the character from Turma da Mônica that he had already played in the film Lessons (2021).
On display in São Paulo, the Niteroi native cites the episodes of harassment she has already experienced. “Since school, with the bullyingbeing a famous actress and even the boys’ nagging at me. Sometimes things seem small, but they aren’t”, he reflected in an interview with Gshow.
“There were several episodes… In the play, Tina has a career proposal through sexual exploration. I have never experienced a situation like that, but rather other types of harassment. We always have to protect ourselves on the street, in the car with the app driver”, he commented.
The actress also gathered real stories to compose the character. “There were things that I didn’t experience, but people close to me, yes. I had reports from female friends who opened up and were a source of inspiration for me. So, on stage, there is a mix of my experiences with those of other people. This all made Tina’s construction”, he explained.
She also said she was moved by the audience’s reports after the play. “There are women and men crying over the issues addressed, because we know that boys also suffer from this type of situation. Several women came to tell me about things they went through and didn’t know they had suffered harassment, but began to understand everything from the play. “
The show was supported by consultancy from HIM Women (United Nations). “My role as an artist is to give voice to this type of cause, which I have already faced. I worked from an early age and I know what it is like to be a woman since I was a child. Therefore, it is necessary to know that there are several situations [de preconceito].”
“Whether in the form of talking to a different woman in a meeting, not addressing a woman, if there is a man nearby, among others. I have been through all these things and will continue to go through them, regardless of our achievements and positions. We You will always have to defend yourself in some way and I think talking about the issue is the right way”, he concluded.

Out of soap operas since 2019, when he starred Summer 90the actress does not rule out returning to serials soon. “Actually, when the soap opera ended, we entered times of pandemic — when it ended I was producing other things. But I still love soap operas, I intend to continue making soap operas”, he assured.
Isabelle ended her fixed contract with Globo last year. At the network, she was in the casts of Eternal Magic (2007), Faces & Bocas (2009), Enchanted Cord (2011), Full of Charm (2012), Good Blood (2013), Generation Brazil (2014), Seven Lives (2015), The Law of Love (2016) and New World (2017).
“People were used to always seeing me in soap operas. It was just a break, and we in Brazil will always do soap operas. It’s our culture, the Brazilian people grew up, learned to like soap operas. So, just call me I’m going,” he said.
