The singer Roberta Miranda appeared at the 3rd Police Station for the Defense of Women, in São Paulo, this Wednesday (23), to testify about Cíntia Chagas’ accusations against her ex-husband Lucas Bove. In an interview, the countrywoman stated that she had witnessed an abusive attitude from the deputy towards the influencer and, precisely for this reason, decided to speak in her favor. “Don’t be afraid,” advised the artist.

To Portal Leo Dias, Roberta explained why she was there to give her statement in the case involving the ex-couple. “Even my own friends, we grew apart over time. We grew apart because my life is busy, but I think highly of her.”

“When I found out, through social media, what happened to her, it made me very sad. I am a person who follows the truth, and the truth for me is paramount. The only thing I witnessed, which was what I said , is that Cíntia went to my birthday and as I have perfect pitch, she went to answer Lucas on the phone”, he recalled.

According to the singer, Bove, at the time, had asked questions related to her then partner’s way of dressing. “He asked her what dress she was wearing, if she had cleavage and was very angry. She said: ‘No! I’m wearing what we agreed on’.”

And then she hung up the phone, and I could tell she was embarrassed and shaking. I said: ‘Let’s go outside’, and took her hand. Her hand was cold, embarrassed and shaking. That day, I said to her: ‘Cíntia, there’s something I didn’t like’. If you didn’t even get married and you were in that control, can you imagine getting married?

“As I never admitted that men used their strength to inhibit anyone, in reality, I am here for Cíntia and for all Cíntias [mulheres]. That’s my intention, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. Don’t be afraid [de denunciar]! I know it’s difficult for women. The woman is ashamed and afraid”, added the countrywoman.

Outburst after complaint

Cíntia gave her first interview after denouncing her ex-husband for psychological abuse, threats and domestic violence. The presenter ended her relationship with the state deputy in August and, when she suggested that she would denounce him, she was threatened.

“He has a gun and, as he said, he would only lose his dream in politics if people knew what he did to me. I would lose everything. I don’t know exactly what this ‘everything’ is, but I’m afraid of untimely Since the police report was leaked, I’ve been traveling in an armored car, accompanied by security guards,” she told Marie Claire.
