The wake of singer Liam Payne, former member of the group One Direction, will be held on October 27th, at Saint Paul’s Cathedral, in London, according to information released by TV Globo. The artist was found dead on October 16, in a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He fell from the third floor of Casa Sur, located in the Palermo neighborhood.
Alberto Crescenti, head of Argentina’s Emergency Medical Care System, reported at a press conference that the artist fell from a height of approximately 13 meters. In the singer’s room, in addition to alcohol, medications such as clonazepam, commonly used for epilepsy, anxiety disorders and panic syndrome, were found. The preliminary autopsy showed that Liam died from polytrauma and internal and external bleeding.
Liam Payne gained worldwide fame alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, as part of One Direction, formed in 2010 on the reality show “The X Factor”. The band achieved great success with hits such as “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Story of My Life”. After the end of 1D in 2016, Payne pursued a solo career, releasing his album “LP1” in 2019.
