After beating Fluminense 1-0 at Barradão, Vitória returned to training this Tuesday (29) to begin preparations for the clash against Athletico-PR, on Saturday (2), valid for the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship. In the re-presentation, Leão had new features in the medical department.
On Monday (28), only players not related to the last clash and those in transition trained. In today’s session, the entire cast was present at CT Manoel Pontes Tanajura.
PCR, CK and thermography tests were carried out at the Health and Performance Center to assess the athletes’ physical condition before pre-training at the gym. After activation, the squad warmed up on the field with a fool’s circle.
The ball work was divided into two parts. In the first, coach Thiago Carpini divided three teams each with seven players and, alternately, trained movements to adjust the offensive and defensive line.
In the second, the three teams won a wild card for a game in a reduced space. Finally, Leão’s trainers completed the goalkeepers’ activities with activities involving throwing the ball in with their feet.
Regarding Vitória’s medical department, midfielder Luan – vetoed against Fluminense – was evaluated and released to begin the transition. Striker Lawan and left-back PK were released to train normally. The defender, however, participated in technical training, but in a controlled manner.
Out due to pulmonary thromboembolism, winger Osvaldo trained under the guidance of coach Vinícius Franco, while Caio Vinícius continues to recover from an injury to the back of his thigh.
