Vitória announced this Tuesday (22) that the facial recognition system at Barradão will expand to the stadium’s stands. The change begins this Saturday (26), when Leão faces Fluminense, in the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship.
Since August, the equipment has been gradually used in the stadium. Initially, the system was adopted for the audience in the seats, and will now be expanded to the stands and the visitors’ sector. In addition to speeding up the entry of fans, the system reduces queues and prevents fraud.
To purchase tickets with facial recognition, as well as enter the stadium, it is necessary to register a photo in the Vitória app. Within the application, the user needs to go to the “profile” option and click check-in.
After that, the fan must access the option “guarantee your ticket”, “check in” and then “register face”. When redirected, go to “start” to register your photo. Before taking a selfie, choose a place with good lighting and do not wear a cap, hat, glasses or mask.
After taking the selfie, check the image quality. If it’s clear, go to “send photo”. Then just go back to the website, go to “guarantee your ticket” and choose the desired sector. The registration process will only be necessary when making the first purchase. On game day, simply position yourself in front of one of the sector’s turnstiles with equipment in operation to gain access to the stadium.
