Vitória continued its preparations for the game against Fluminense, valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. The clash against the Cariocas is scheduled for this Saturday (26th), when the red-black club hosts its rivals at Barradão, starting at 4pm.
In the penultimate training session before the clash, the club’s players reported to CT Manoel Pontes Tanajura in the afternoon. After the pre-training activation in the gym and the warm-up in the external area of the Barradão field, Thiago Carpini and the committee led the tactical training.
In the first part, movements were trained with the aim of creating attacking plays with finishing. Then, Carpini practiced marking pressure and passing the ball with 11 against 11 and the field open. Afterwards, the red-blacks practiced defensive set pieces. Finally, one group practiced free kicks in front of the goal using the mobile barrier, while another group practiced kicks on goal.
Young striker Lawan completed another stage of the physical transition with proprioception and continuous speed (running) exercises. Osvaldo and Patric Calmon trained, this Thursday (24), at the weight training gym. Caio Vinícius continues to recover from an injury to the back of his thigh. The player has been undergoing treatment on both shifts.
