Influencer Virginia Fonseca used social media this weekend to vent about the treatment she has been undergoing for around 10 days against migraines. In the report, she said that she felt the symptoms again after stopping the use of headache medication.
“Headache treatment is not easy. Last week, I was still being medicated. The doctor had prescribed a medicine, and every night I took it, regardless of whether I was in pain or not. This week, she already removed this medication. So, I’m at a surreal level of stress and irritability, and the doctor explained to me that I would really go through this: anxiety and a mood that’s a bit ‘depressed’ (…) I’m going through this and I can’t take anything. I avoid showing it to you and the people around me because it really is boring (…) But I’m not going to give up. This headache won’t overcome me,” he said.
According to Virginia, it was already predicted that she would go through a period of caffeine and painkiller withdrawal and that the treatment would take some time to take effect. “It’s part of the process and, like any other treatment, anything we do in life, it takes time. I’m going to give this treatment time and I’m going to stick with it, that’s why I said I’m not going to let myself get beat, because I’m not going to lie down because of this headache (…) It’s the same when we go to train, we train and you have to wait, for example, six months to see the results, to gain mass. It’s the same thing with this treatment,” he said.
