Vera Viel spoke to the Domingo Espetacular program, on TV Record, this Sunday, the 20th, about the discovery of a tumor and the next steps in the treatment. The presenter and model, wife of Rodrigo Faro, underwent surgery on the 11th to remove a malignant tumor from her thigh and was discharged from hospital on Tuesday, the 16th. She is recovering.

Vera was diagnosed at the beginning of the month with synovial sarcoma, a rare type of cancer, in her left thigh. “I’m already able to walk a lot, I’m obeying the doctors, because if I could I would leave the crutches and walk normally, because I feel good. But I can’t, it was a very complex surgery, it has to heal”, she shared on the program.

In the second stage of treatment, which will begin next month, Vera said she will undergo radiotherapy sessions for prevention.

To journalist Roberto Cabrini, Vera confided that she wonders why everything happened just on the eve of her birthday. She turned 49 on the 12th and believes that “God chose that day and wanted to show me that I would be reborn, have a new life” .

As she has been sharing on her social networks in recent days, Vera considers that the diagnosis was a turning point in her life.

“I’ve always been worried about my legs, about having beautiful legs, and I had a tumor on my thigh. Today I don’t mind having two scars here, because I want to show it to people,” she said, emotionally. “It doesn’t have any meaning for you to be beautiful, beautiful, wonderful and to pose in a bikini with a sculptural body. After what I went through… I need my legs so much to take care of my daughters, to walk. I’ve changed a lot”, he concluded .
