The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), minister Cármen Lúcia, will make a statement on national radio and television this Saturday, at 8:30 pm, due to the second round of municipal elections. She is in Belo Horizonte (MG), where she must vote tomorrow, Sunday (27), and arrives in Brasília late in the morning. The information comes from the TSE communications department.
On Thursday, the president of the Court declared that “voting is a democratic blessing” and asked voters to turn out at the electronic ballot boxes in the 2nd round of the 2024 Municipal Elections, which will take place this Sunday in 51 municipalities, 15 of which are capitals.
The voting period will be from 8 am to 5 pm, Brasília time (DF). Voters will return to the polls to choose the new mayors and vice-mayors, who will take office for the period from 2025 to 2028.
This Saturday, the TSE confirmed the integrity and authenticity of the electoral systems, in a ceremony. The event is aimed at verifying the systems responsible for receiving and tallying votes in elections.
