A trans woman from Bahia was found dead in a motel in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. Luane Costa da Silva, 27 years old, was born in Santo Antônio de Jesus, in Recôncavo, and traveled with her husband to the city of São Paulo to move.

According to information from TV Bahia, the expectation was that Luane and her husband would find an apartment and then her sister, Milene, and her brother would move in with them later, at the end of the month.

Luane’s husband told his sister-in-law that the woman left the house this Tuesday (22) for a program at a motel in Santos, but never returned. He went to the police to report the disappearance. Yesterday, he was informed that Luane had been found alive in a motel, dead after hanging.

The Santos police are now investigating who is responsible for the crime.
