The transfers of inmates considered sensitive targets of the prison system to units in other regions of the state occurred after investigations and prison intelligence by the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration and Resocialization (Seap). The objective of the action is to end any contact between inmates and criminals outside prisons.
Since the beginning of Angerona megaoperation there was a 78.6% reduction in the rates of Intentional Violent Lethal Crimes (CVLI) in the municipality. The transfer work was carried out by teams from the Specialized Group in Prison Operations (GEOP), Penal Police, with the support of the Military Police and Public Ministry (MP-BA).
