Danilo Santos da Silva was shot dead on Sunday (20); authors were identified in the locality Anel Viário

A teenager suspected of committing a homicide was apprehended in the municipality of Jequié, in southwestern Bahia. During the integrated operation between the Jequié Territorial Police Station, the Independent Specialized Policing Company – Central (CIPE/Central) and the 19th Military Police Battalion (BPM), two other people were found, but one of them was killed, this Monday Friday (21).

The trio was found in a hiding place located on the city’s Ring Road, when one of them allegedly shot at the police, who retaliated. He was hit and taken to a health unit, but did not survive. The other two tried to escape, but were caught.

The arrest in the act of the teenager, identified as the author of the homicide involving Danilo Santos da Silva, 28 years old, hit by gunshots last Sunday (20), and arrest of the second suspect, was registered at the 1st Territorial Police Station from Jequié. The infraction took place in the Amaralina neighborhood.

Major Luiz Paulo Neri, commander of Cipe Central, highlighted that joint action was essential to clarify the homicide. “After the investigation by the Civil Police, the crime was related to the activities of criminal organizations, so much so that the person found was a drug leader in the Amaralina neighborhood, in the municipality. The integrated work of the forces ensured that these criminals were removed from the streets”, he declared.

In the action, a 380 caliber pistol and a 38 caliber revolver were seized. The weapons were sent to the Technical Police Department for inspection. The detained duo remains in custody at the Civil Police unit.
