Two suspects involved in acts of vandalism against buses in the Avenida San Martin region, in Salvador, were arrested on Friday afternoon (25), with drugs.
According to the Military Police, the pair were detained when they tried to escape by police officers from the 37th Independent Company (CIPM), in the location known as Diva Pimentel.
Police officers were in the region collecting information regarding attacks on collectives there when they noticed an armed group. More teams were called and in the locality the suspects reacted with gunfire when there was an attempt to approach.
The suspects fled amid the gunfire, but there was a pursuit and two of them were caught. With them, the PM seized 30 packages of crack and nine packages of cocaine. The police say that the two detainees were also involved in attacks on buses recorded in the region.
All seized material was taken to the Flagrant Center, where the two prisoners were also taken.
