A stolen van was seized on BR-324 on Tuesday afternoon (22) in Simões Filho. The vehicle, recovered by the Federal Highway Police (PRF), was used by a company providing services to the Post Office. In the incident, the truck was traveling on the road with false license plates and had been reported stolen.

After carrying out a vehicle identification analysis, the police discovered that the vehicle had false license plates. It was also discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen, registered in September 2023, in the city of Barbacena, Minas Gerais. The bulletin was made by a rental company that operates throughout the country. The truck was painted and regular vehicle plates were placed, with the aim of avoiding inspections and avoiding police stops.

To the police, the driver stated that he was unaware of the irregularities, being just an employee of the company that provides delivery services to the Post Office. The case was forwarded to the Civil Police, which will investigate the practice of receiving and tampering with the van.
