With the aim of celebrating the female protagonism of different generations, training and production methods in the circus arts, Circo Picolino will be the arena for the show A Noite do Carpet Vermelho, which takes place this Saturday (26), at 7pm. The collaborative project will take an all-female band to the arena, curated and artistically directed by Luana Tamaoki Serrat (current manager of Picolino) and co-created by artists Verônica Tamaoki, Nina Porto, Nana Porto and Wilma Macêdo, who also take on the production of project. The musical direction is by Viva Varjão.

In addition to the presentation of aerialists, jugglers and acrobats, the show makes room to pay homage to the great masters of the circus. Among them: Maria José Aurora Calado, Dona Zeza, founder of Circo Marco Polo; Valnice Augusto Nascimento, Baianinha; Dona Cida, Maria Aparecida França, founder of Circo Dallas; Norma Sueli Cardin dos Santos, who founded Circo Jamaica; Jucineide Conceição Silva, who was a contortionist and trapeze artist.
