The short film “Belov: A Life at Sea”, which celebrates the trajectory of navigator Aleixo Belov, will have a special premiere in Salvador. Directed by Bahian filmmaker Tiago Abubakir, the work will be shown this Thursday (24), starting at 7pm, at Shopping Barra.
Considered one of the greatest adventurers and navigators in the history of Brazil, Belov was born in Ukraine and has lived in Salvador since he was six years old. Throughout his journey, he has already traveled five times around the world, three of them alone, aboard his own sailboat, Três Marias.
With the Veleiro Escola Fraternidade, he took his fourth trip around the world, this time accompanied by 26 students. His fifth trip across the planet took place in 2018. His travels have already resulted in him publishing 7 books, as well as photos, texts and videos that are on display at the Aleixo Belov Sea Museum, located in the Historic Center of Salvador.
