Sangue Novo gets an intimate version at Caixa Cultural

After the weekend of partying at Trapiche Barnabé, the Sangue Novo festival takes on a more intimate version, held at Caixa Cultural Salvador, which takes place from Thursday (24) to Sunday (27), with performances by Xênia França, Alice Caymmi, Filipe Catto and Tassia Reis.
On the 24th, the event is opened by Xênia França. Winner of the Latin Grammy 2023 for the studio album Em Nome da Estrela (2022), in the Best Contemporary Pop Album category in Portuguese, Xênia was the first Brazilian artist to perform on the German channel A Colors Show.
Alice Caymmi is the attraction on the 25th. With the show Queen of Lightning: Fury, which evokes the Greek myth of the daughters of Hades and Persephone to talk about injustice and social inequality. The repertoire includes hits such as the reinterpretation of Meu Mundo Caiu (Maysa), in addition to the work song O Amor (El Amor).
Continuing the program, on the third day it is Filipe Catto’s turn. From Rio Grande do Sul, Catto is a trans non-binary artist whose repertoire covers several musical genres, such as samba and MPB. The artist performed in July, at the first edition of Sangue Novo in São Paulo.
To close the edition of the festival in Salvador, Sunday (27), brings Tassia Reis, with a show based on her fifth album Topo da Minha Cabeça, which combines soul, samba, rap, drill, funk, R&B and jazz, sewn with a Afrofuturist look.
