Wanted by his family for five days, restaurant owner Lucas Pereira da Silva, 31, was found dead this Wednesday morning (23) in Salvador. The victim’s girlfriend and father went to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and identified the body. “Everyone is in shock,” says an uncle, who will not be identified to protect his image.
Lucas had been missing since last Saturday night (19), when he was approached by an armed group at the end of the road in the Novo Horizonte neighborhood.

To CORREIO, family members say that he had left home, in the Novo Horizonte neighborhood, to leave his mother-in-law in Sussuarana. He then returned to the region where he lived, but was approached by men along the way. The motorcycle, cell phone and other objects that were with Lucas were also not found.
The report contacted the Civil Police for an update on the investigation and is awaiting a response.
There is no information about the reason for the kidnapping. “We don’t know what happened, I can only say that he wasn’t involved in the world of crime. But today, for things to happen, it doesn’t have to be from that world”, says an uncle – the identity will be preserved to protect the source.
Lucas owned Amatto delivery, specializing in live Italian food delivery. Family members say that his dream is to save money to live in the interior of Bahia, where part of the family lives.
