With an impeccable performance, Barcelona visited Real Madrid this Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, and scored a merciless 4-0 defeat over their biggest rival. The result leaves the Catalans six points behind their opponents (30 to 24) and consolidates the work of coach Hansi Flick. In the game Lewandowski scored twice, Lamine Yamal left his mark and Raphinha closed the scoring with a beautiful cover goal.

Real Madrid started the game advancing against Barcelona. The home team dominated the actions, but stopped when Mbappé was offside. In the 30th minute, the French striker received the pass and, from inside the area, covered Inaki Pena, who was advanced. The goal, however, was invalidated by VAR due to the French player’s irregular position.

After repeated scares in defense, Barcelona managed to balance the confrontation and also started to scare their rival. But it was in the second half that the game really heated up.

After half-time, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick replaced Fermin Lopez to make way for Frenkie de Jong. After the change, Marc Casado made a long pass to Lewandowski, who cut inside and sent a beautiful shot into the right corner, with no chance for Lunin: 1-0, in the 9th minute.

It didn’t take long for Barça to expand. Two minutes later, a ball lifted into the box by Balde was put in again by Lewandowski. The header from close range went past the goalkeeper and into the right corner of the goal, disconcerting the Real Madrid fans.

In the 18th minute, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti removed Tchouameni and replaced Luka Modric. Hansi Flick left Casado for Dani Olmo. In this chess game between the strategists, the game gained intensity and in the 32nd minute, the Catalan club once again found the back of the net.

Lamine Yamal received the ball inside the penalty area and released a shot that went into the top of the goal: 3-0. Real were in control of the match and Vinícius Júnior received a yellow card for a violent foul. Barça didn’t stop there. Raphinha had the ball inside the area, saw the goalkeeper ahead of him and scored from cover in the 39th minute, finishing the rout in style.

Madrid’s next match will be Saturday at 5pm, against Valencia, at the Mestalla stadium. Barcelona host Espanyol for the local derby on Sunday (03/11), at the Olympic Stadium.

Three more games completed Saturday’s round of the Spanish Championship. Real Valladolid lost at home to Villareal 2-1. Rayo Vallecano defeated Alavés 1-0 and Las Palmas beat Girona 1-0.
