Ligue 1, the French football league, ordered Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to pay 55 million euros to Mbappé, a Real Madrid player. The payment is due to the dispute between the player and the Parisian club during Mbappé’s move to the Spanish team in July this year.
The decision of the Appeal Committee of the French Football League (LFP) should be made official this Friday (25), reaffirming what has already been determined by the Legal Committee.
However, Paris stated that it has no intention of paying the amount equivalent to around R$338 million, with a new appeal being prepared.
“Now that the Appeal Committee has confirmed the decision, PSG has decided to take the case to court, seeking an amicable solution with the player,” a PSG spokesperson told RMC Sport.
