Popó Freitas used his Instagram profile this Sunday (20), to celebrate the acquisition of another luxury vehicle for his collection. It is a Tesla Cybertruck, a pickup valued at R$1.5 million, created by Elon Musk’s company.

In a video, the former boxer showed his home’s garage and commented on the commotion that the car was causing in Salvador and Lauro de Freitas, as it is new to the region. The vehicle is one of the few examples of the brand in Brazil.

“You’re talking about Salvador, especially here in Bahia. Everyone was curious: websites, newspapers… everyone was curious to know whose car this was. Okay, now I’m revealing to you that it’s my Cybertruck. This one was literally ‘beating up’”, said Popó, who has already put boxing gloves on the pickup truck’s rear view mirror.

It is worth noting that the first Cybertruck unit arrived in Brazil only at the beginning of this year and belongs to digital influencer and funk artist Danielzinho Grau, known for selling raffle tickets. Shortly afterwards, singer Wesley Safadão also purchased the same vehicle.

Announced in 2019, the Cybertruck model was created with the aim of being “unbreakable”. According to Tesla, it is bulletproof and the glass withstands the impact of a baseball thrown at a speed of 112 km/h.

Despite gradually dominating Brazilian territory, Tesla’s electric cars are still for very few people. As it does not yet operate in Brazil, it is only possible to obtain a vehicle from the brand through the manufacturer. Because of this, it is necessary to pay around R$2 million to import them.
