AtlasIntel research released this Saturday, 26th, the day before the election, shows councilor Emília Corrêa (PL) with 57.1% of the valid votes in the dispute for Mayor of Aracaju, while lawyer Luiz Roberto, from PDT, appears with 42.9% .
Valid votes are those that really determine the result of an election, as they exclude blank and invalid votes. Considering the total votes, the PL candidate has 56% compared to 42% for the PDT candidate. Undecided voters total 0.4%, while those who intend to vote blank or cancel are 1.7%.
The institute interviewed 1,198 voters between October 20th and 25th. The margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points, and the confidence level is 95%. The research is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number SE-04079/2024.
