A police approach ended in confusion in the town of Controversy, in Brotas. According to the Military Police, teams from the 26th CIPM went to the location after receiving a report of drug trafficking in the region.

There, the police found the four suspects, who tried to hide in an abandoned property. They were caught by the police. And, according to the PM, a large amount of marijuana, crack and cocaine were found with them, as well as three precision scales, two fish knives, a replica pistol, a camouflage jacket and packaging used to package and sell the drugs. .

With the arrest of the suspects, residents were outraged by the situation. “While the police were taking the suspects to the vehicle, family members of the detainees tried to interfere in the action, seeking to prevent the arrests”, says the PM’s note.

A video circulating on social media shows police officers taking the suspects away, in the audio residents say that they were going to record the arrest to prevent the young people from being killed. In another video, police officers appear kicking residents and some shots are heard.

According to the PM, those involved, along with the seized material, were sent to the Flagrant Center to formalize the registration of the incident. The PM did not take a position on the attacks on residents.
