Singer Diogo Nogueira was in Salvador for a show on Thursday night (24) and took advantage of his time in the city to talk about his relationship with Bahia and his future projects. The artist made a point of talking about the connection with the local public. “The energy here makes me want to come back again and again. I can’t stay away for long,” he says.
And his return has already been scheduled for November 15th, when he will perform at Concha Acústica. Diogo also highlighted the cultural importance of the region for samba: “The land of batuque, dance and African music, roots of Samba de Roda. There’s no way to talk about the history of samba without mentioning Bahia.”
The samba singer has a lot of work ahead of him. He is finishing Volume 2 of the album Sagrado, with new songs, in addition to his YouTube series, Comida de Santo, which addresses cooking and Candomblé, two important aspects of his life. Next year, he will launch the program Diogo na Cozinha on GNT, which will bring another special project for fans.
Diogo spoke about these issues during his participation in the event celebrating the 90th birthday of Heda Alves, president of Grupo Avigro, who celebrated her life in style at Casa Baluarte. The celebration was organized by Indira Marrul, who has already signed for other important family events.
