A man was caught stealing cables from a traffic light on Avenida Jorge Amado, in the Imbuí neighborhood, in Salvador. In the images, recorded by a driver passing by, it is possible to see the man pulling out the cables after climbing the traffic light.

According to the Salvador Traffic Superintendence (Transalvador), the equipment was damaged and will undergo repairs. The agency was contacted to find out if there is an estimate of when the traffic lights will be repaired, but has not yet responded. The video was released in a publication made this Monday (28).

Check out Transalvador’s note below:

The images of a robbery, which possibly occurred on Monday morning (28), on Av. Jorge Amado, in the Imbui neighborhood, impresses the citizens of Salvador with the audacity of the man, who seems to ignore any risk to obtain cables for a traffic light. The equipment was damaged and Transalvador, once again, will spend staff and public resources on repairs.
