Maíra Azevedo, also known as Tia Má, took another important step in her acting career. The Bahian woman began recording the feature film “Vicentina Pede Apologies”, directed by Gabriel Martins, a filmmaker renowned for the film “Marte Um”. The news had already been announced by Alô Alô Bahia, in a recent interview with the artist.
Produced by Filmes de Plástico, the film tells the story of Vicentina, a 75-year-old woman, played by Rejane Faria, who faces the painful reality of the death of her son, a bus driver who, after a tragic accident, generates a wave of speculation about suicide. On her journey, Vicentina seeks out the victims’ families to apologize, exploring deep themes of forgiveness, redemption and grief.
“Being part of Vicentina Pede Apologies is a unique opportunity to explore the complexity of human relationships and the strength of friendship in moments of pain. Joana is an essential presence for Vicentina, offering support and unconditional love in such a challenging phase of her life”, said Maira, about the new character.
Although the film does not yet have a confirmed release date, expectations for the project are high, especially due to the sensitive vision of the director, Gabriel Martins, who promises to touch the audience’s hearts.
