From Carnival music to the test question. For this, not even Ivete Sangalo and Ludmilla expected it. Macetando, this year’s Carnival hit, became the subject of a question in the Unicamp entrance exam, which had its first phase this Sunday (20).

The Portuguese question addressed the meaning of the word in the chorus, based on an excerpt from a report in the newspaper O Globo, published in February this year. See the question below:

On social media, the issue went viral. “I’m still singing IT’S VEVETA WHO’S IN COMMAND MACETANDO MACETANDO MACETANDO. And I hate you Unicamp”, wrote one user. “I laughed sincerely when I saw the song Macetando in the middle of the Unicamp exam,” commented another. “If I had known that the song Macetando by Ivete Sangalo was going to appear at Unicamp, I would have listened to it more often”, reflected another candidate.

Fan pages for Ivete and Ludmilla celebrated the reference to the song in the race.

Other contemporary issues were also included in the test, such as the feminist movement, the dengue, zika and chikungunya epidemics, and even a reference to the Titan submarine, which exploded at the bottom of the ocean. The Israel x Palestine conflict was also addressed, reinforcing the comprehensive and current nature of the assessment.
