Cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho, from Hospital Sírio-Libanês, went with three other doctors to Brasília on Saturday night (19), when he was informed of the fall that President Lula (PT) suffered in the bathroom. According to Monica Bergamo’s column in Folha de S. Paulo, neurologist Rogério Tuma, neurosurgeon Marcos Stavale and spine surgery specialist Francisco Sampaio made the trip.
The idea was to carry out a complete monitoring and examination of the president. When there is a fall, the patient can suffer micro-injuries to the spine that at first they do not notice.

All the tests were carried out and they found a single wound on Lula, behind the back of his head, as well as a small cerebral hemorrhage. The president received stitches on the back of his head.
On Sunday, he repeated the tests and rested. He was advised to avoid long trips, which led to the cancellation of a trip to Russia. More tests must be carried out before being released to resume normal routine.
