The Boi Bumbá Garantido Folk Association stated, this Monday (21), that the singer Ludmilla improperly used the image of the boi-bumbá during a show held at the Arena da Amazônia, in Manaus, last Sunday (20). In a statement, the entity informed that the artist did not have authorization to use the image of Boi Garantido and could face legal action.
During the performance, the singer from Rio brought to the stage representations of the Caprichoso and Garantido oxen, symbols of the Parintins Folklore Festival. However, according to the Boi Bumbá Garantido Folklore Association, the singer’s team had presented a proposal to use the image, which was rejected. “In cases of misuse or unauthorized participation, the appropriate judicial and extrajudicial measures will be adopted”, declared the entity.
