The British pilot Lewis Hamilton39 years old, is on his way to Brazilian lands and is very excited about his return. On his Instagram, in the early hours of this Monday (28), the seven-time Formula 1 champion posted a message in Portuguese talking about another visit to Brazil.
“Thank you, Mexico, you are beautiful. Now I’m going home”, said his first post, in Spanish, and with emojis of Brazilian flags. “Brazil!!! I’m coming home and I can’t wait to see you,” he wrote, in Portuguese.
It is worth remembering that Hamilton’s passion for the country is not new. In 2022, he even received the title of honorary citizen from the Chamber of Deputies during his visit to Brazil before competing in that year’s Interlagos Grand Prix.
“It is a great honor to receive this title today. Now, I can finally say that I am one of you. I love Brazil, I have always loved Brazil”, said the pilot at the time. In addition to the proximity to Brazil, Hamilton’s tribute to the late Ayrton Senna (1960-1994), at the São Paulo GP, in 2021, were crucial in approving the title of honorary citizen.
On the occasion, the Englishman wore a helmet with the colors of Brazil and even repeated Senna by carrying the Brazilian flag on a consecration lap around the race track after winning the race. “I would like to dedicate this honor to my hero Ayrton Senna,” said Hamilton at the time.
