Leandro Karnal, 61 years old, had his trachea dislocated during cervical surgery. Admitted to a hospital, the writer shared images of the surgery on social media and talked about his recovery.
“I gained a little more time on this planet. Everything went well, I’m already in my room. It was a success. I’m here recovering”, he declared.
Karnal explained the procedure by showing the bandage on his neck: “The trachea was detached for cervical surgery, but everything is fine. A hug and thanks for the many messages.”
Humorously, the historian showed an X-ray showing the insertion of pins into his body: “My new neck: will I pass the airport X-rays?”
At the beginning of the month, the historian and philosopher made a rare public appearance with her husband, singer Vitor Fadul, 28. He did not reveal the reason for the surgery.
