On the program De Frente com Blogueirinha, ex-BBB Juliette revealed the amount paid by broadcaster Globo for participants who enter the reality show. The Big Brother Brasil champion in 2021 stated that, upon joining BBB, contestants receive around the minimum wage, which is currently worth just over R$1,400.
The conversation with Blogueirinha took place last Monday (28), and began with speculation from the presenter about the amount paid. “R$40,000, right? You changed the BBBs that came later, you know? It was really bad for everyone. Now they can’t sign a contract. It’s R$15,000 that you earn, which is close to R$40 [mil] It’s nothing,” he commented.
Juliette asked about the origin of this money, and Blogueirinha said it was related to advertising contracts. The singer then revealed the real value: “Stop being talkative. I know that inside, when you enter, you earn minimum wage.”
To spend three months confined in the Big Brother house, many participants give up their financial stability, and even their jobs, at the risk of being eliminated in a short time and leaving without prizes. Therefore, the money paid for the down payment is even more necessary, as a kind of ’emergency reserve’.
Since leaving the reality show, Juliette has pursued a singing career, increasing her follower base, which already consisted of more than 24 million users at the time she won the BBB.
