Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT) compared this Wednesday (23) the new wave of violence in Bahia to a “little flu”. The statement was given in an interview with Metrópole radio. The PT member mentioned that he would go to Paris on the inaugural flight of the route between Salvador and the French capital, next Monday (28), but decided to stay in the state due to the public security crisis.

“I’m going to unveil the banner on Monday, I’m going to wish everyone success and a good trip to whoever goes, to whoever comes, but I’ll stay in Bahia like that mother who has her son with the flu, but won’t leave it there, wake up At night, put your hand on your neck. I have my hand on my neck to see the temperature at that moment. Then I will go to Paris”, said the governor.

In the interview, Jerônimo said that we have to show that security in Bahia has a strong pulse, he again criticized the opposition and said that he trusts the security forces. “The responsibility for public security is mine, but it also belongs to the federal government and the municipalities, with the municipal guard,” he said.
