Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT) compared this Wednesday (23) the new wave of violence in Bahia to a “little flu”. The statement was given in an interview with Metrópole radio. The PT member mentioned that he would go to Paris on the inaugural flight of the route between Salvador and the French capital, next Monday (28), but decided to stay in the state due to the public security crisis.

In the interview, Jerônimo said that we have to show that security in Bahia has a strong pulse, he again criticized the opposition and said that he trusts the security forces. “The responsibility for public security is mine, but it also belongs to the federal government and the municipalities, with the municipal guard,” he said.
