The man is suspected of involvement in homicides and drug trafficking

A fugitive from justice, with an outstanding arrest warrant, was arrested this Monday (21), in Salvador. Due to a shooting on Avenida Afrânio Peixoto, better known as Avenida Suburbana, in the town of Boiadeiro, military police arrested the man, suspected of involvement in homicides and drug trafficking.

According to the Military Police (PM), agents from the 14th Independent Company received a report of gunshots in the region. During the operation to intensify policing at the location, the suspect, who had a gunshot wound to his arm, was located and arrested.

Pedestrians and drivers were frightened by the gunshots in the early afternoon of Monday, which affected traffic on the avenue. In a video recorded by members of the public, it is possible to see vehicles climbing the median to return in the opposite direction of the road.
