A four-year-old child died after drowning in the pool at a private club. The victim was identified as Alice Antunes da Silva, who was taken to a hospital, but did not survive.
The case happened in the municipality of Cansanção, in the north of Bahia, last Sunday (27). According to information from TV São Francisco, a TV Bahia affiliate in the region, the child was at the club with his mother and brother when the accident occurred. There are still no details about the circumstances of the drowning.
According to TV São Francisco, there is no information about the date of the burial that will take place in the village of Pocinhos, where the family lived. When contacted, the Civil Police reported that there was no record of an incident. The private club did not return requests for a position on the case.
