Paul Di’Anno, former singer of Iron Maiden, died at the age of 66 this Monday, 21st. The cause of death was not reported.

The record company representing the artist sent a statement to Metro.uk. “After leaving Iron Maiden, Paul Di’Anno had a long and intense musical career with Battlezone and Killers, as well as several solo recordings and special appearances. Despite facing serious health problems in recent years, which made him perform in wheelchair bound, Paul has continued to entertain his fans around the world, performing over 100 shows since 2023.”

The singer died at his home in Salisbury, England. Paul Di’Anno had been facing health problems with his knee, which forced him to undergo surgery and be wheelchair dependent.

The artist was born in Chingford, east London, on May 17, 1958.

Paul Di’Anno marked his career as Iron Maiden’s first official vocalist, the first to actually record studio work with the band. Iron Maiden (1980) and Killers (1981) are Paul’s two albums with the group.
