After being accused of infidelity and having intimate photos leaked with his alleged loverFlamengo player, Matheus Gonçalves, published a note on social media, on Thursday (24), with his version of the story. The athlete said he is single, therefore, there was no betrayal and complained about the exposure of the images.
“I am single and I have always been in this condition when involved with people who expressed themselves in a regrettable way, exposing me and affecting my family. I emphasize that I will take the appropriate measures and once again I repudiate a low exposure that does not measure the regrettable consequences what this causes,” he said.
The player accused that some people, without mentioning names, were looking for fame based on the controversy, but that he only thinks about the next games and the final of the Copa do Brasil. “Totally focused and working to help Mengão!”, he wrote.
“When you’re single, you can’t have a relationship with anyone? He had to create lies to sell the gossip! Ridiculous”, added the athlete.
Alleged lover was a fan of the player
According to columnist Léo Dias, a woman discovered by chance that she was the lover of Flamengo player Matheus Gonçalves, after becoming suspicious of the athlete’s behavior. According to the publication, the player has a girlfriend, but the girl didn’t know that. The two met in June, at Ninho do Urubu, the club’s training center, in Rio.
She was a fan of the athlete and, since then, they became friends and started exchanging messages. Shortly after they kept in touch, the player asked the woman out on a few dates and claimed to be single.
The athlete would have been unmasked by his own lover, who after three meetings became suspicious of some of Matheus’ behaviors and decided to investigate the situation on her own. It was then that she discovered that he was dating Maria Eduarda, who on social media introduces herself as Duda Britto.
Furthermore, the unofficial couple was filmed in intimate moments, which were leaked onto the internet.
