New searches are being carried out by the police in the cells of the Feira de Santana Penal Complex this Tuesday (22), this time in the women’s wing of the prison. More than 250 men from the Criminal Police and the Shock Battalion are working in Operation Angerona today – the action, organized by the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration and Resocialization (Seap), reaches its second day.
According to Seap, the teams enter the pavilion and place the inmates in position for pre-trial detention. The exit from the cells is coordinated to begin scanning the spaces. The idea is to carry out searches safely, preserving the integrity and dignity of prisoners and police officers. There has been no record of any complications so far, says the secretariat.
Seap coordinates Operation Angerona through the Prison Management Superintendency (SGP), with the work of the Electronic Personnel Monitoring Center (CMEP), Institutional Security Group (GSI) and the Coordination of Monitoring and Evaluation of the Prison System (GSI). CMASP).
The operation was also integrated by the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the National Secretariat for Penal Policies (Senappen) and the Public Ministry of Bahia (MP-BA), through the Special Group to Combat Criminal Organizations and Criminal Investigations (Gaeco) and of the Special Action Group for Criminal Execution (Gaep) are part of the actions.
The Military Police also works with the Air Group (Graer), Special Police Operations Battalion (BOPE), Rondesp-Leste, Independent Specialized Policing Company (CIPE / Leste), Independent Guard Police Company of Feira de Santana (CIPG) and Feira de Santana Mounted Police Squadron.
