Federal government approves national food supply plan

The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance approved, together with the Interministerial Chamber of Food and Nutritional Security (Caisan), the National Food Supply Plan, called Food on the Plate.
Published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Monday (21), the document covers the period from 2025 to 2028, with measures to supply food to needy populations, expand rural credit and expand access to food from the Basic Basket.
Alimento no Prato will be open to the entire population, with special attention to vulnerable people, farmers, indigenous peoples and quilombola communities.
Together, the National Food Supply Policy (PNAAB) was also published, which is part of the National Food and Nutrition Security System (SISAN). Among the points of the Lula Government Policy are the promotion of the integrated food supply system with production, processing, distribution and marketing of food.
