Expo África Brasil “Connection” will address Africa-Brazil business and culture
Unprecedented and with free entry, the event brings together companies, artists and professionals from African countries and Brazil on the 25th and 26th of October

With the aim of promoting connections between different sectors of the economy, encouraging business partnerships and fostering the exchange of technological and professional knowledge between Africa and Brazil, São Paulo hosts the Expo África Brasil “Connection”, which takes place on the 25th and 26th of October, at Expo Center Norte, with free entry. Organized by Instituto Literáfrica, this is the first and largest event in Latin America to promote commercial promotion of multi-sector companies from African countries.
Expo África Brasil expects to attract more than 20 thousand visitors, bringing together more than 200 companies and different African countries. With a 100-hour program, the event involves investors, businesspeople, academics, researchers, students and other professionals. In addition to promoting business, the Expo offers an agenda focused on culture, art and education, with professionals and artists from different African countries and Brazil sharing experiences and knowledge.
According to the founder and president of Instituto Literáfrica, João Canda, who is also an international writer and speaker, this unprecedented African meeting brings together excellent businesspeople, political figures, artists and professionals with an international career. “With this, we emphasize, among several points, that economic cooperation and commercial strengthening are not limited to large companies, but also to small and medium-sized companies between African countries and Brazil, with the aim of meeting demands in all sectors and generating millions in business”, he states.
The program includes a series of activities, such as conferences, chats, lectures, business forums, exhibitions, as well as the African and Afro-Brazilian Art-Culture Festival. The event also features the Immersion Forum, African art presentations, and a gastronomic experience that highlights African and Afro-Brazilian cuisine.
Among the more than 60 African speakers, names such as Nangula Uaandja, executive director of NIPDB, from Namibia, stand out; Tibe Bi Gole Blaise, honorary consul of Côte d’Ivoire; Edinam Adjei-Sika, president of the Ghana Brazil Chamber of Commerce; Segun Arinze, AGN and AVOA President of Nigeria; Bernabas Kidane, president of TradeEthiopia Company, Ethiopia; Ana Paula, executive director of Vita group, from Cape Verde; and Othman BABA, general director of Royal Air Maroc for Brazil, from Morocco.
The event also features more than 40 Brazilians as speakers and mediators, including Luiza Trajano, president of the Board of Directors of Magazine Luiza, and Claudionor Alves, executive director of Diversity at the Carrefour Group.
The African and Afro-Brazilian Art-Culture Festival presents great African and Brazilian artists on the same stage, including African immigrants and refugees living in Brazil. Among the confirmed attractions are Ndaka from Angola, Diima from Guinea-Bissau and Brazil, Lino Krizz and friends, with appearances by DJs Hum and Dri, Edi Rock, Carlos Dafé, Thulla Melo and Graça Cunha.
