Gateway to universities, the National High School Exam (Enem) is less than 20 days away. To get ahead of the competition and increase your score by up to 200 points, it is important to pay attention to some tips. The person who explains how to do this is the pedagogical director of Descomplica, Rafael Cunha. In this edition, which will take place on November 3rd and 10th, 5 million people will take the test. The number is the highest number since 2020.
Organizing a study routine, reviewing content strategically and practicing writing are good practices for studying efficiently in this final stretch, according to Rafael Cunha, it can considerably increase the final grade in the Exam.
“The student must focus on the efficiency of his studies for this final stretch and focus on what will really help him pass. At Descomplica, we follow this in practice: our students scored, on average, 160 points more in their essay compared to the national average”, points out the director.
He separated some tips on how to prepare for Enem:
Customize your studies according to your desired course
“Candidates competing for a place in Medicine must study in a different way than those who want to study Literature, for example. Strategies must be personalized even when we are talking about the same course, but from different institutions: those who want to enter USP need to study in one way, those who are interested in studying at Federal Universities must study in another way. Personalization is the key”, he advises.
He says that Descomplica launched Personal Prof, an artificial intelligence tool available via WhatsApp. Free and accessible 24 hours a day, the solution allows candidates to ask questions, receive summaries and discover which topics are the most recurring in the test. The experience is customized, as the student can inform the course and college they wish to enroll in, thus receiving recommendations focused on their specific objectives.
In addition to maintaining an organized study routine, the specialist advises taking care of your physical and mental health. “In your schedule, include regular rest breaks, maintain a balanced diet and practice physical exercise to relieve stress. These habits are essential for improving concentration and keeping your mind active during studies”, he adds.
“It is common that, in the last few weeks, students try to review all the subjects, including those that have not been studied throughout the year. However, this is not effective. The best option is for the candidate to be strategic, identify the points in which they need to improve and focus on the content they have already mastered,” comments Rafael.
Another review strategy is to participate in Enem classes. In the week before each test day, Descomplica will offer free revision classes on YouTube. Descomplica teachers got 99% of the topics that appeared on Enem 2023 correct in the review classes, so this is an opportunity to leave the main hot topics in your memory for the test the next day.
10/28 – 11/01 from 6:30 pm to 9:15 pm – Humanities, Languages and Writing Review
02/11 from 9am to 7:30pm – Eve class with a focus on Writing
04/11 – 08/11 from 7pm to 9:15pm – Mathematics and Nature Review

The Enem essay is crucial to the candidate’s final grade, and clearing this part is the same as clearing the entire test. Provided by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), with the Enem 2024 writing booklet, students can understand how their writing will be evaluated. To ensure success at this stage, Rafael Cunha recommends reading and looking for good examples of essays with high grades and 1000 grades. Reading essays with low grades as well, to understand what not to do and, finally, practice writing as much as possible. of possible essays.
To practice writing, candidates can use Redação Descomplica, a free platform that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to offer detailed corrections to essays. Developed with the help of Enem corrective teachers, the tool evaluates texts in a few minutes, providing a detailed grade and suggestions for improvements. Thanks to technology, the solution has an 80% chance of getting the candidate’s Enem score correct and is 30% more effective than human correctors.
“With the tool it is possible to correct texts, improve writing skills, familiarize yourself with topics that have already appeared in Enem and learn about more than 180 new topics. The essay grade is one of the most important on the test, because many colleges give it greater weight in the final grade. Therefore, it is decisive for the final objective of each student”, highlights the teacher.
