In the first half of 2024, Banco24Horas’ Atmo operated around 40% more of the volume of transactions carried out during the first half of last year in the State of Bahia. While in 2023 there were around 54 thousand transactions on the device from January to June, in the same period this year the solution was already responsible for transacting almost 76 thousand operations in Bahia.
Installed at commercial cash registers, where transactions are carried out directly, safely, privately and efficiently, Banco24Horas’ Atmo is a compact device with multi-biometric POS, which allows access to financial services such as withdrawals, balance consultation, statements and payment of titles and dealerships, as well as credit card payments. Through the device, Banco24Horas, which is present in the daily lives of 155 million Brazilians and has solutions that promote financial inclusion, has expanded its operations in locations with little or no banking service and where logistics make it unfeasible to install ATMs.
Across the entire national territory, in the first half of 2024, the solution carried out 96% of the volume of transactions carried out throughout the previous year. There were almost 938 thousand operations, around 567 thousand more than recorded in the same period of 2023. Approximately R$163 million was handled in withdrawals alone in the first half of the year, signaling communities’ adherence to the technology.
The high volume recorded this year can be explained by the establishments’ acceptance of installing the solution. The company ended the first quarter of this year with over 580 devices installed throughout the national territory and intends to reach 1,000 devices on the network by the end of 2024. Currently, there are almost 50 devices installed in 36 municipalities in Bahia.
For customers, the solution provides more practicality and convenience, as they can withdraw money in the same place where they make purchases. For retailers and establishment owners, the withdrawal of physical money by customers brings efficiency in the costs of managing and transporting money, in addition to reducing the amount of cash stored, since the money already contained will be used for transactions. at the establishment’s cashier. In addition to generating bonuses for the merchant for transactions carried out, the equipment is attractive to the public, who are more likely to buy products from the location with cash in hand, immediately after making a withdrawal. The solution facilitates not only the recirculation of money within the business itself, but also in the local economy and its installation is also free.
For Marcos Mazzi, superintendent of self-service products at TecBan, the positive results indicate the need for attention in communities far from large centers. “There are still many places that are difficult to access and that make the logistical operation of installing, maintaining and maintaining banks and ATMs difficult. Still, these communities need access to financial products and services, an issue we were able to address with Atmo. The results have exceeded expectations and shown that we are on the right path supporting the population and regional businesses”, he states.
With Atmo, Banco24Horas, which is already present in more than 1,200 cities with ATMs, further expands its reach, especially in more distant locations with little banking and connectivity infrastructure available. Atmo alone is distributed in more than 500 commercial establishments in more than 370 cities across the country. Since the launch of this solution in 2020, more than R$13 million has been invested in the expansion and distribution of these devices throughout the national territory.
