Check out the operation of municipal services this Monday (28)
Classes will be suspended and resumed next Tuesday (29)

Next Monday (28), due to the celebrations of Public Servants’ Day, working hours will be suspended in municipal public offices, with normal operations returning on Tuesday (29). The City Hall will maintain the operation of essential services in Salvador, ensuring the preservation of heritage, monitoring and ordering of traffic, bus circulation and emergency health care.

Transit – Agents from the Salvador Traffic Superintendency (Transalvador) will normally act on the streets, alert to act immediately in cases of obstructions and other traffic complications. The municipality’s teams will intensify monitoring on busy roads entering and leaving the city, such as the Bus Station, the Ferry Boat, Feira de São Joaquim and Avenida Luís Viana (Paralela).
The Assisted Operations Center (NOA) will also be attentive to traffic 24 hours a day, throughout the period, using video surveillance cameras, helping teams that will be on patrol.
The notification and protocol defense sectors will not work on Monday. Notifications scheduled to expire on these days will be extended to the following business day, that is, Tuesday (29).
On Monday (28), services in the release sector for vehicles seized in the yards will also be suspended, returning to normal on Tuesday. Citizens can contact the municipality via Fala Salvador, at number 156, or via the NOA Cidadão app.
Transport – Buses, lifts (Elevador Lacerda and inclined planes) and the Platform-Ribeira Sea Crossing will operate normally next Monday (28). The Special Transport Coordination (Cotae) and the Protocol sector of the Municipal Mobility Secretariat (Semob) will not provide administrative assistance. Buses and BRT will be operating normally.
Education – Classes will be suspended on Monday (28) and resumed next Tuesday (29).
City Halls-Bairro, Simm and SAC do Empreendedor – Service will be suspended in these locations on Monday (28) and resumed next Tuesday (29).
Health – The Emergency Care Units (UPAs) and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) will operate 24 hours a day. The other health units will resume service from 8 am next Tuesday (29).
Inspection and urbanism – In celebration of Public Servants Day, this Monday (28), Sedur’s in-person service is suspended. The body’s inspection work continues on a shift basis, with operations to combat noise pollution, commercial establishments, advertising and irregular construction. Reports of noise pollution must be made through Fala Salvador 156 or the Sonora Salvador app.
Municipal Guard – A staff of 100 agents from the municipality will be on duty, working in various services, with patrols in parks, support for inspection actions by Sedur, Transalvador and the Municipal Secretariat of Public Order (Semop), in addition to preventive patrolling and reinforcement of inspection in edge.
Cultural spaces – The cultural spaces managed by the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism (Secult), including the Cidade da Música da Bahia museum, the Casa do Rio Vermelho, the Espaço Pierre Verger da Fotografia Baiana, the Carybé das Artes and the Casa do Carnaval do not operate at Mondays, so on this holiday of the 28th they will be closed.
Civil Defense – The Civil Defense of Salvador (Codesal) operates around the clock, on a 24-hour basis, to respond to requests. In case of risk of falling trees, landslides, property flooding and landslides, among other occurrences, the population should contact Codesal, free of charge, by calling 199.
Social Promotion – The Institutional Reception Units (UAI), referral for the granting of occasional benefits (funeral allowance and housing allowance) and the Specialized Service in Social Approach will operate normally. The 10 Popular Restaurants will also open on Monday (28).
Ombudsman – The Municipal Ombudsman’s Office (OGM) continues to record the response to citizens’ demands on a 24-hour basis, via telephone 156 or the portal salvadordigital.salvador.ba.gov.br.
Salvamar – The Maritime Rescue Coordination (Salvamar) will maintain normal lifeguard staff, distributed across an average of 26 posts installed between the beaches of Jardim de Alah and Ipitanga. In addition to the posts, a rapid response team will be available for service and support on the beach.
