A capybara was rescued from the pool of a club in Guanambi, in southwestern Bahia. The episode took place on Tuesday (22), at Recreio Tênis Clube.

A team from the Guanambi Environment Department was called after visitors noticed the presence of the capybara and went to the location to remove the capybara. The animal is an adult female that lives in a lagoon in the same region as the club.

Technicians used a net to remove the capybara from the pool. The animal was tired from not being able to get out of the water and having to keep swimming. Despite this, he was uninjured and is doing well.

After a period of rest, it was returned to the lagoon area where it normally lives.
