A Burger King employee was fired after identifying a customer as ‘debmental’. The incident was recorded on Saturday, 26th, in a unit in the east of São Paulo.

In the space on the invoice where the name of the person who made the purchase should have appeared, the then employee wrote the term capacitista. On social media, internet users shared the image of the note.

Regarding the incident that occurred in one of its stores, the company informs that, after an internal investigation, the employee involved was immediately dismissed, in accordance with the company’s code of conduct.

“We do not tolerate this type of behavior and are committed to maintaining welcoming and safe environments for our employees and customers. We will reinforce our internal training to ensure that situations like this do not happen again,” Burger King further stated.

When contacted, the Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo said that, to date, the São Paulo Civil Police has not located a record of the incident.
