Tan Tan, from São Paulo, is the 31st best in the world

Tan Tan, in São Paulo, is the 31st best bar in the world, according to the prestigious World’s 50 Best Bars Awards list. The announcement was made last Tuesday (22), in Madrid, Spain. The bar in the capital of São Paulo, run by chef Thiago Bañares, is the only Brazilian one among the 50 best.

In another prestigious list, that of the Top 500 Bars, created by the blogger duo from Le Cocktail Connoisseur, the space in Pinheiros was the best placed in Brazil, in 61st position, in 2023, and should maintain its prestige this year, in an award scheduled for November 10th in Paris, when the top 100 will be announced.

Produced based on data collected from more than two thousand internet sources, from experts to journalists and influencers, in more than 20 different languages, the ranking brought, for the first time, a bar outside the Rio de Janeiro-São Paulo axis. Purgatório Bar, in Salvador, created and made by professionals from Bahia, was cited, in July this year, in 430th position.

The list – which has already revealed the best from 101st to 500th position, also includes 5 more Brazilian bars, Picco/SP (335th), Liz Cocktails & Co/RJ (350th), Astor/SP (435th), The Liquor Store/SP (488th), Eximia/SP (496th).
